About Me
As a psychotherapist and counsellor working relationally, I believe that our relationships shape who we are and that they can also be a source of healing. For me, therapy begins by establishing trust, honesty, and emotional safety. Creating this foundation is always my priority, and I am committed to working alongside you in a way that feels safe, collaborative, and right for your individual needs.
Having trained for five years and provided therapy for a number of different charitable organisations, I have worked with people in their 20s, 80s, and everything in between.
I do not use diagnostic labels as a way identifying people unless they are of value to the person I am working with. Instead, I adopt a more person-centred approach—one that foregrounds your experience as valid in its own right and something to be understood holistically in the context of your life as a whole.
I also believe that therapy does not happen in isolation from the world around us. I remain mindful of the social, cultural, and political contexts that shape our lives, paying attention to how systems of power, privilege, and discrimination may affect your experiences and our work together.
Therapy can feel daunting and unknown. But you don’t need to have it all worked out to start. Wherever you’re at, we can begin there.
